This caravan arrived on the island and at low speed the accident occurred. The wheel nuts on the nearside wheel appeared to have loosened before they unscrewed themselves and the wheel dropped off the hub. The caravan immediately dropped onto the wheel and the weight forced the damage up through the wheel arch and floor and suffering panel damage to the door.A new wheel arch was made out of alluminium, the wall was reinforced with plywood,sealed and bonded. A new panel was matched sprayed and installed.
